Start your journey with ASU Local without the worry of initial costs, and focus on what truly matters—your education.

ASU Local offers a unique college experience for students who live near one of our six ASU Local communities. Students enroll through ASU Online and attend weekly in-person sessions at their ASU Local site.

To qualify:

  • You must live near one of our six ASU Local sites (Los Angeles, Long Beach, Washington D.C., Yuma, Chula Vista, West Hawai’i).

  • You must have applied to ASU Local (not ASU Tempe or another main campus).

  • You selected “Pay Later” when submitting your ASU Local application.

Not sure if you qualify?

  • If you’re applying to ASU Tempe, Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, or West, this waiver does not apply to you.

  • If you’re applying to ASU Local, you’ll see one of our six sites listed on your application.
